Hi, I’m Chris!
As you can probably tell, food is a massive factor in my life. I’ve been a vegetarian for 15 years, and spent most of my teenage years cooking vegetarian food alongside my mum who would cook what was then considered ‘normal’ meaty food for the family!
But six years ago, I also had to learn how to cook gluten-free food as well, and that crossover in dietary requirements means I have had to fend for myself, creating new recipes that satisfy my cravings, and adapting old favourites to suit my new diet.
I love doing simple food well, and exploring how small tweaks can make a huge difference – as you’ll see in my posts! I also love ‘travelling’ the world through cooking at home, so you’ll see gluten free, vegetarian recipes inspired by world cuisines as I aim to bring the universe to my plate.
This blog aims to share tips and tricks as well as recipes, and ways I organise not just my cooking, but my meal planning in order to ensure I always have delicious gluten-free, vegetarian food on hand – even on those days when I really don’t want to properly cook!
If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you, too, are unable to eat gluten, and I hope this blog can help you to see that gluten-free vegetarian food still has amazing potential for deliciousness!
